Our community commitment is shared across The Coca-Cola system. When natural disasters strike, The Coca-Cola Foundation and the entire Coca-Cola system respond to offer emergency relief. Through the Coca-Cola Matching Gifts Program, eligible employees make personal contributions to qualified organizations and The Coca-Cola Foundation matches those contributions on a 2-for-1 basis.

The Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation seeks to dramatically improve the lives of people and the world around us through innovative strategies, systems changing approaches, and disrupting technologies. Our goal is to find social entrepreneurs with dynamic ideas and nurture them at the early stages with maximum leverage and total commitment.

Prospects for our portfolio of social enterprises come from a vast field of compelling ideas and dedicated leaders. We concentrate our selection on the capabilities of the founder/leader, the scalability of the model, and the potential impact of the organization on the world.

We have an open application process and accept applications year round. Borrowed from our venture capital legacy we find exceptional entrepreneurs, provide them with 3 years of unrestricted capital (totaling $300,000) and provide rigorous on-going support by joining their board of directors for the 3 years and partnering with the leader to help them to build capacity in their organization and scale their impact.

We support social enterprises — non profit, for profit and hybrid organizations — that can expand enough to directly benefit a large number of beneficiaries and impart enough momentum to influence broader systems that encumber progress. Scaled organizations act as models to other groups in the sector and have the clout to affect policy, public opinion, and economies.

The Lawrence Foundation is a private family foundation focused on making grants to support environmental, human services and other causes.

The Lawrence Foundation was established in mid-2000. We make both program and operating grants and do not have any geographical restrictions on our grants. Nonprofit organizations that qualify for public charity status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or other similar organizations are eligible for grants from The Lawrence Foundation.  

Grant Amount and Types

Grants typically range between $5,000 - $10,000. In some limited cases we may make larger grants, but that is typically after we have gotten to know your organization over a period of time. We also generally don’t make multi-year grants, although we may fund the same organization on a year by year basis over a period of years.

General operating or program/project grant requests within our areas of interests are accepted.

Max and Victoria Dreyfus Foundation Grant

The Foundation will consider requests to support museums, cultural and performing arts programs; schools and hospitals; educational, skills-training and other programs for youth, seniors, and persons with disabilities; environmental and wildlife protection activities; and other community-based organizations and programs.

2022 AURAND HARRIS Special Initiative Theatre Grants Focus and Application Instructions - for Small/Mid-Sized Theatres

The 2022 Aurand Harris Special Initiative Theatre Grants will fund small and mid-sized theatres for anti-racist/equity initiatives that directly move Equity/Diversity/Inclusion (EDI) practices forward in the organization or creative work of the applicant.

In 2022, the Childrens Theatre Foundation of America (CTFA) will award Harris Special Initiative Grants, up to $3,000 each, to small/mid-sized theatres that serve young audiences. These grants are intended to benefit the field of theatre for children and youth, to support the mission and values of CTFA, and to honor the intentions of playwright Aurand Harris.

Aurand Harris (1916–1996) is one of this nation's most published and performed playwrights for children and youth. Harris had a deep concern for artists, particularly playwrights, who devoted their careers to creating quality theatre for young audiences, and for theatres who produce theatre for children. Through the generous donation of Aurand Harris’ author royalties, CTFA is able to support the work of American theatre artists.

CTFA Equity/Diversity/Inclusion (EDI) Statement:

CTFA recognizes the existence of institutional and structural racism in the field of theatre for and with youth. We are committed to dismantling these existing structures within CTFA and to offer resources and support to the field to do the same. The Foundation will support theatre artists and organizations that have been historically marginalized and socially, politically, and economically excluded, as well as those whose work addresses past and current injustices.

Grant Evaluation Criteria

Grant applications will be evaluated on an applicant’s:

• anticipated impact within their community,
• their ability to bring live theatre experiences to children and families, and
• how their proposed project relates to CTFA’s mission, values, and the 2022 grant focus of addressing anti-racism/equity initiatives that directly move EDI practices forward in their organizational practices or in the creative programming of the applicant
