In addition, the Foundation supports many local community programs such as arts and culture, community and economic development programs in the United States, as well as HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness programs in Africa and Latin America.

Our community commitment is shared across The Coca-Cola system. When natural disasters strike, The Coca-Cola Foundation and the entire Coca-Cola system respond to offer emergency relief. Through the Coca-Cola Matching Gifts Program, eligible employees make personal contributions to qualified organizations and The Coca-Cola Foundation matches those contributions on a 2-for-1 basis.

The Draper Richards Kaplan Foundation seeks to dramatically improve the lives of people and the world around us through innovative strategies, systems changing approaches, and disrupting technologies. Our goal is to find social entrepreneurs with dynamic ideas and nurture them at the early stages with maximum leverage and total commitment.

Prospects for our portfolio of social enterprises come from a vast field of compelling ideas and dedicated leaders. We concentrate our selection on the capabilities of the founder/leader, the scalability of the model, and the potential impact of the organization on the world.

We have an open application process and accept applications year round. Borrowed from our venture capital legacy we find exceptional entrepreneurs, provide them with 3 years of unrestricted capital (totaling $300,000) and provide rigorous on-going support by joining their board of directors for the 3 years and partnering with the leader to help them to build capacity in their organization and scale their impact.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Dunn Family Foundation to support programs that utilize education to build a better society and employ innovative approaches to the use of testing and support materials for educational initiatives.

Values

The work of the Dunn Family Foundation expresses the values of its founders, Lloyd and Leota M Dunn. They believed that education is prime a vehicle for the betterment of society. Their belief was that excellence in testing allows educational assets to be employed most efficiently and that professional materials support the teachers in their educational environment. 

Program Guidelines

At this time, the Dunn Family Foundation has three main areas of interest: 

• The development and implementation of educational testing materials for children and adults.
• The development and implementation of educational support materials for use by teachers in the education of society's children and adults.
• The innovative use of education to build a better society.

Types of Grants

Initial grants will be given for project funding only. After an initial grant is made, the Foundation may make general operating grants to continue supporting the organization. 

Capital funding is available for projects connected to previous Foundation support only.  The average grant size generally ranges from $5,000 to $25,000.  

DFF Policy on F&A Costs 

The Dunn Family Foundation recognizes that organizations often require Facilities and Administrative (F&A) costs (known as "indirect costs") be added to all grant requests. While we recognize that F&A costs are real, we work to focus our funding on direct costs and trust the sponsoring organizations will "keep the lights on" as part of their support for funded research.  

Therefore, the Dunn Family Foundation will not fund F&A costs in excess of 15% of the funded direct costs of grants. Extraordinary circumstances when indirect costs exceed 15%, may be considered on a case by case basis.   

Philanthropy is our commitment to communities in which we operate and broader society. We focus our resources on a limited number of key projects that can deliver valuable benefits from our contributions and those of our partners. We give priority to innovative, high-quality projects that meet the following criteria:

• promote sustainable development
• offer an opportunity for Roche to use its expertise and logistics capabilities
• involve Roche actively at an early stage with local authorities and established partners
• engage Roche employees in cultural (focus on contemporary arts), educational and social activities
• managed by an accredited charity

The Lawrence Foundation is a private family foundation focused on making grants to support environmental, human services and other causes.

The Lawrence Foundation was established in mid-2000. We make both program and operating grants and do not have any geographical restrictions on our grants. Nonprofit organizations that qualify for public charity status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or other similar organizations are eligible for grants from The Lawrence Foundation.  

Grant Amount and Types

Grants typically range between $5,000 - $10,000. In some limited cases we may make larger grants, but that is typically after we have gotten to know your organization over a period of time. We also generally don’t make multi-year grants, although we may fund the same organization on a year by year basis over a period of years.

General operating or program/project grant requests within our areas of interests are accepted.

Max and Victoria Dreyfus Foundation Grant

The Foundation will consider requests to support museums, cultural and performing arts programs; schools and hospitals; educational, skills-training and other programs for youth, seniors, and persons with disabilities; environmental and wildlife protection activities; and other community-based organizations and programs.
